Have you ever looked at the ingredients in most products and found yourself unable to pronounce half of the list? For every ailment there is a holistic way for curing it. Lavi is Haitian Kreyol for life. We need nature to sustain a better life so why not incorporate nature into your hair care routine for better hair? Same as trees, the bounty of the leaves starts at the roots. In reference to hair that would be the scalp, if the scalp is clean and treated then the strands of hair can follow. Loving, caring for, and taking pride in naps, kinks, coils, and curls with the purest form of life that the Universe has to offer. The importance of sourcing high quality, organic, and non genetically modified ingredients is crucial. Products are produced in small batches to keep the potency high and for you to feel the love in every drop.
Why I Started Lavi?
My name is Shayla Moore with roots in Texas, Louisiana and Haiti. As a licensed cosmetologist I experienced firsthand what many people of color were dealing with. The disappointment from spending excessively on trial and error with every product on the market, or going to the doctor for scalp treatments that include steroid shots. My mom, a breast cancer survivor, and sister, who suffered from psoriasis, is my motivation for making this idea tangible. The countless women I have encountered or conversed with about their hair woes is my driving force. I wanted to provide a natural and holistic approach to caring for their natural hair including educating them on the importance of understanding your scalp and hair and its needs. It is also a mission of teaching melanted people to have pride in their grows naturally. I witnessed women suffer from traction alopecia, major hair loss from stress and not being properly taught by professionals how to care for their hair. This is my purpose aligned with the gifts given from my ancestors and my Higher Power.
